About Sara Sanskara

is the colourful label of designer Sara Colacicco and her partner Pier Bosma. Sara has always worked in art and design and has been passionate about vintage and antique clothing since an early age. Sara started to sell vintage clothing in her favourite market in Portobello Road. In 2003 she took a year out to travel and during this year she found many unusual fabrics and trimmings that inspired her to develop her own unique designs. Sara's pieces soon began outselling her vintage, so gradually she concentrated all her efforts on developing her own collection. Shortly afterwards was formed...bold and elegantly bohemian.

Sara believes in selling her designs herself as she finds the experience extremely rewarding and instrumental in evolving her designs. Sara exhibits at many interesting shows throughout the country - refer to events page - and has recently started making bespoke orders and made to measure commissions- refer to bespoke page.
